Connector: A Survey

Tommy Gregory has been referred to as a “connector.” As a public art administrator for many years, a curator, and artist, Gregory has worked with a broad spectrum of artists in his career. Although Gregory is the catalyst for this exhibition, the network of artists displayed here is the real focus. A number of them have created public art pieces at the Houston airport system and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Several included artists have worked with Gregory through the galleries in Houston, San Antonio and Seattle. This exhibit is one example of the kinds of webs of connections that artists make, influencing one another in a visual conversation.
